Senior Accountant

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join a well-established and successful firm based in Hobart, Tasmania. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in private practice, with strong technical expertise in taxation. Experience in auditing and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) highly considered. Key Responsibilities Taxation Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts. Provide high-quality tax planning and compliance advice to clients. Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance. Client Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Provide strategic financial advice and insights to help clients achieve their goals. Identify new opportunities for client services and business development. Key Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in a private practice accounting firm. Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline. Member of CA ANZ or CPA Australia (or working towards full membership). Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax legislation, and superannuation laws. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, My Workpapers).
