We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Perth-based team. Based at our West Perth head office, you will be a key contributor in compiling tenders and proposals across diverse civil projects, including earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete works, and other infrastructure packages. Working both independently and alongside our Estimating Team, you will be responsible for producing accurate first-principal cost estimates, preparing high-quality submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of major tenders, proposals, and EOIs. Key Responsibilities Complete detailed quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs. Analyze labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor inputs to ensure competitive pricing. Validate rates and assumptions using historical data and market benchmarking. Prepare compliant, high-quality tender submissions, including pricing schedules and non-price criteria. Develop construction methodologies, staging, and preliminary programs. Ensure all work aligns with client specifications, scope, and tender requirements. Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope gaps, risks, and clarifications. Prepare RFIs and ensure technical and commercial issues are resolved prior to submission. Contribute to risk reviews, allowances, and value-engineering options. Source and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing for accuracy and scope coverage. Liaise with internal teams to ensure alignment between estimate and delivery strategy. Maintain strong supplier relationships to support competitive and reliable pricing. Tender Handover & Transition to Delivery Prepare comprehensive tender handover packs outlining pricing, assumptions, risks, subcontractor selections, and methodology. Lead handover meetings ensuring project teams understand scope, pricing logic, and delivery requirements. Support pre-contracts and delivery teams during award, early procurement, and mobilisation. Time Management & Technical Discipline Manage competing priorities to meet tight tender deadlines. Maintain estimating systems, cost databases, and version control. Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and submission quality. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Australian civil construction industry, with at least 5 years as an Estimator. Proven experience across civil, bulk earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete, and non-process infrastructure works. Proven experience managing successful tenders up to $40 million across varied clients and sectors. Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project and/or P6). Experience with estimating software (HeavyBid, Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Why Join Multiplant? Attractive salary with a weekly pay cycle.
