Posted 1 day ago About the role Mountain View Café, located within the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve Maleny, is seeking passionate and talented Chefs to join our dynamic team. As a Chef at MVC, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. We are located 20-30 mins from Caloundra. We are currently flexible on what we can offer but are ideally looking for someone who is after full-time hours and would like to work those full-time hours across 4 consecutive working days, so then have 3 full days off per week. We are currently open to sponsorship, however the candidate must currently be located on the Sunshine Coast, be able to come in for a trial and prove they can fulfil the role to a high standard. What you'll be doing Prepare and cook a variety of quality, creative dishes Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and streamline kitchen operations Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive work environment What we're looking for Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a cafe or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create delicious meals Ability to work well in a team and under pressure Ability to move with pace Must already be located on the Sunshine Coast.
