Finance Systems Support Analyst

Overview We are seeking a Finance Systems Support Analyst to provide operational and technical support for our finance systems. This role ensures that systems are running smoothly, issues are resolved promptly, and enhancements are implemented effectively. Based in Sydney, you will be the first point of contact for finance system queries, working closely with Finance, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure system stability, accuracy, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for all finance system queries and incidents. Troubleshoot and resolve functional and data issues in a timely manner. Escalate complex technical issues to IT or system vendors as required. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential risks or issues. Maintain user accounts, roles, and permissions in line with security policies and segregation of duties. Support critical financial processes such as month-end and year-end close. Perform data integrity checks and reconcile system data to financial records. Support the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and new functionality. Assist in requirements gathering for process improvements. Conduct and document system testing (UAT) and ensure smooth go-live transitions. Develop and maintain financial reports and data extracts for operational and compliance needs. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data across finance modules. Provide reporting support to Finance and other business stakeholders. Liaise with Finance, IT, and external partners to resolve issues and deliver improvements. Deliver user training and create process and system documentation. Communicate system changes and best practices to stakeholders effectively. Assist in the implementation of finance systems (ERP, automation tools), including data migration, UAT, and training support. Maintain a focus on process efficiency, control, and scalability. Required Experience & Skills 2+ years experience practical experience supporting and administering D365 or similar and in depth knowledge of core functions. Experience managing user roles, security, segregation of duties and licensing Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good knowledge of finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, Fixed Assets). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. Experience with system testing, UAT, and documentation. Basic SQL or report-writing skills (desirable). Experience in Power BI & Medius (desirable).
