Client Our client is a global leader in forage, pasture, and turf seed genetics, operating in over 100 countries. They are the largest proprietary forage seed company in Australia, supplying the forage seed farmers know and trust. Their strong R&D program continually bring new and innovative forage seed varieties to the Australian market. Role The Sales Agronomist role is crucial for the company's success, it combines technical expertise with sales skills to deliver value to clients, drive revenue, and support the company's growth objectives. The role will maintain existing and build new relationships with key partners within the southeast NSW region that results in budgeted sales targets being achieved. It offers high levels of customer service and technical support and helps clients achieve better agricultural outcomes, leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty. As part of the Sales team the role is responsible for positioning of the brand as the leading Australian proprietary seed supplier building a strong brand awareness within the territory via relevant market activities. It is an autonomous role that works closely with other team members, sharing expertise and contributing to a collaborative, positive and productive work environment. Requirements A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Biology, Business and / or substantial relevant experience Ideally 3 years’ sales experience in a similar role within agriculture An in-depth understanding of the workings of agriculture, specifically forage plants Affinity to farming and an understanding of pasture agronomy Strong knowledge of agronomic principles and practices, including soil science, crop management, and pest and disease control An understanding of farm system options covering different animal entireties Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships. Remuneration and Location This role could be an experienced operator or a capable younger agronomist ready to step up. It has a flexible remuneration structure depending on experience. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this is a remote, field-based position that can be based from Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Goulburn or similar.
