SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect (Australia/New Zealand) HCLTech, one of the fastest-growing global tech companies, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect to join our dynamic team. The role offers full‑time employment, with travel to New Zealand as required. The SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect is a senior technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SAP landscapes—including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Fiori, and related components. This position ensures system performance, scalability, security, and compliance across on‑premise and cloud environments while leading migrations and upgrades. Key Responsibilities Architect and manage SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Fiori, BTP). Lead installations, upgrades, and migrations, including OS/DB migrations and S/4HANA conversions. Design and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies. Optimize SAP HANA databases for performance and reliability. Develop and maintain SAP system architecture standards and best practices. Collaborate with functional and business teams to align SAP architecture with business requirements. Implement cloud hosting strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid IT solutions. Ensure security, compliance, and governance across SAP environments. Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoring. Mentor and guide SAP Basis administrators and technical teams. Prepare documentation for disaster recovery and system operations. Required Skill & Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in SAP Basis and Technical Architecture; proven experience in S/4HANA migrations and conversions; expertise in SAP HANA administration, upgrades, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, Fiori, and integration tools. Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid landscapes. Familiarity with SAP sizing, monitoring tools, and automation. SAP S/4HANA Technical Architecture certification. Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS). Knowledge of DevOps practices, SAP automation, and AI tooling. Experience with IDM, OData, and SAP BTP. Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills. Why Join HCLTech?
