We pride ourselves on our ingenuity, evidence-based and multi-dimensional thinking to provide the best outcomes for our young people We believe children, young people and families should be safe, thriving and hopeful and strive to make this happen each day Position: Part time (0.8 FTE), Ongoing Salary: Qualified Base Salary $97k pa pro rata + Super & Salary Packaging About the Saver Plus Program Saver Plus is a virtual financial literacy and matched savings program which assists people on lower incomes to save for educational expenses. It aims to increase the levels of savings of people on lower incomes, while addressing the causes of financial exclusion, which is the lack of access to appropriate low-cost, fair and safe financial services. The Opportunity The primary role of the Savings Coach is to recruit new participants to the Saver Plus program via virtual platform and to assess their eligibility and capacity to develop a savings goal along with developing a budget. The Savings Coach will provide ongoing support and coaching to participants throughout their Saver Plus journey. About You To be successful in this role you will have a sound understanding of the issues of social and financial exclusion in Australia and familiarity with programs which seek to address these. You will have the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including the Brotherhood of St Laurence and other community sector peers, ANZ and relevant government departments. Desirable: Diploma level qualifications in a relevant field, with demonstrated experience in working with low-income families.
