Advanced Fresh Concepts is largest supplier of fresh sushi to supermarkets throughout Australia and North America, an industry pioneer with over 30 years’ experience. AFC has partnered with Australia's leading supermarket chain to introduce its successful hybrid sushi program. Our sushi is prepared fresh daily, in-store with high quality ingredients and is conveniently packaged for customers to eat any time of the day. We are seeking to appoint a new Central Kitchen Supervisor who is ready to make the next step in their career and work for a leader in Sushi business. Responsibilities Assist daily kitchen operations to ensure all orders are fulfilled and meet customer’s specifications Prepare and cook sushi and related food products to a high standard and quality including, but not limited to, cooking rice, rolling sushi, cutting and packaging Cutting fish for sushi and sashimi to standard size and weight Freeze and preserve food and ingredients according to company requirements and health standards Assist Central Kitchen Manager to ensure central kitchen and surrounds are kept well organised, clean, safe and free from clutter at all times Assist with select, training and developing central kitchen chef & kitchen staff as needed Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Assist Central Kitchen Manager to complete rosters, ensure optimal efficiency and packages per hour are met Strictly enforcing hygiene regulations to comply with AFC’s Food Safety and Quality Management System ‘FSQMS’, Recipe Guide and Standard Operating Procedures ‘SOP’ Be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Receive supplier deliveries; rotate stock on a FIFO basis and ensure chilled good are refrigerated, frozen goods remain frozen; and ambient goods are stored off the floor in their designated area Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies Qualifications AQF Diploma or Higher 1 years of experience in related field Be able to multi-task and work in fast paced environment Must be available to work midday to midnight shifts over a 6-day roster Honesty, integrity and a passion for being the best at what they do Proven ability to work as a part of a team or independently Excellent organizational and time management skills Possess “can do attitude” Flexibility to take on various shifts Food Safety Certificate Forklift license or willingness to obtain one Benefits Generous salary package and opportunity to work for a leader in sushi franchise business Free on-site parking If this sound like a suitable opportunity, please APPLY NOW #J-18808-Ljbffr
