Assistant Development Manager – Energy Bay Energy Bay is rapidly expanding along the renewable energy value chain and across multiple geographies, with the goal of decarbonising industry. Established in 2016, we offer specialised distributed renewable energy solutions to facilitate enterprise customers and property landlords through the energy transition. About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Assistant Development Manager to support the planning and execution of renewable energy and embedded network projects across our growing portfolio. Key Responsibilities Coordinate end‑to‑end development activities, including Development Applications (DAs) and Explicit Informed Consent (EIC) campaigns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. Manage multidisciplinary consultants to deliver planning, environmental, and technical inputs to scope, budget, and schedule. Liaise with authorities to expedite approvals and align project milestones with portfolio targets. Prepare development reporting and governance by creating dashboards, presentations, and investment papers for IC, PCG, and client forums. Maintain data integrity across reporting artefacts and support embedded network conversion projects. Oversee development scheduling updates, review variances, and support recovery planning. Maintain project registers and document control systems, support preparation of Construction Management Packs, and assist with lessons learned and continuous improvement. Coordinate handover to Delivery teams and contribute to process improvements. Model professional standards, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence. Champion Energy Bay’s mission and values across all stakeholder interactions. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Property, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in project delivery and development. 2–4 years’ experience in project coordination, property development, or infrastructure delivery, ideally within the renewable energy or utilities sector. Strong knowledge of planning and approval processes, including DAs and EIC campaigns. Proficiency in analysing project timelines, monitoring progress, and communicating the impact of variances with recovery strategies. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Adaptability and self‑driven approach to dynamic project demands. Track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
