Our client is working on a significant and diverse property portfolio, including campuses, student accommodation, education and other facilities. The Assistant Development Manager will work in a strategic and delivery‑focused team supporting long‑term goals. This role will assist senior team members in managing and delivering a variety of development and infrastructure projects across the university and education projects. The focus is on project management, procurement, financial analysis, consultant management and stakeholder engagement. You’ll gain exposure to strategic investment and divestment work while developing a strong foundation in development and infrastructure delivery. Experience in feasibility work and any experience with Estate Master would be ideal. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven property professional to step into a client‑side role and support the delivery of important educational infrastructure projects, with exposure to a highly collaborative and professional team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with preparation, monitoring and updating of project business plans and programs Support the preparation and ongoing management of budgets, financial forecasts and reporting Assist in procurement and management of consultants and contractors Manage project risk registers and action plans Support stakeholder consultation and engagement in collaboration with internal teams and external groups Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental systems, including management of site access, inductions and permits Assist with preparation of project committee and board reports, attend meetings and follow up actions Conduct feasibility studies and financial modelling including sensitivity analysis Assist in researching and developing inputs and options for development scenarios Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, or a related discipline 2–4+ years’ experience in a property development, project management, or real‑estate environment Exposure to education or large institutional environments is advantageous Strong commercial acumen with an ability to assist with feasibility modelling and risk identification Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills Sound writing ability and experience preparing papers and presentations Strategic thinker with initiative and problem‑solving skills This is a permanent full‑time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation that offers challenging work and the potential for career progression.
