Analytics, Data and Integration Directors We are seeking two exceptional leaders to join the Event to Outcome (EtO) Value Chain Directorate. Both roles manage complex, strategically significant work essential to Defence’s success, with a key focus on integrating and optimising the Defence Enterprise Case Management Solution (DECMS). Introduced in May 2024 under the One Defence ERP Solution, DECMS integrates incident management across Defence, improving transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency. As the EL 2 Director of Analytics , you will lead a high‑performing team driving Defence’s data‑informed transformation. You will set strategic direction, define performance measures, and deliver insights that shape enterprise decisions. Leveraging platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP BW, you will enhance reporting, forecasting, and visualisation, including for the Defence People Dashboard. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders and ensure the work of the Analytics Team aligns with organisational priorities. As the EL 2 Director of Data & Integration , you will lead Defence’s enterprise data strategy and integration efforts, driving improvements in data quality, interoperability and system alignment. You will ensure data assets are secure, accessible and fit for purpose. You will champion best practice in data governance, quality management and stewardship, embedding robust foundations that enable trusted, timely and actionable information to support informed decision‐making and operational effectiveness across Defence. Key responsibilities Provide strategic expertise in data analysis and analytics, translating raw data into actionable insights to inform decision‑making. Lead and manage a high‑performing team by setting clear expectations, communicating consistently, delegating effectively and fostering professional development. Deliver and review complex, data‑driven reports, submissions and advanced visualisations, offering high‑level advice to support Defence decision‑making. Ensure compliance with legislation, Defence policy and ethical standards for data use, including managing regulatory and governance requirements. Manage risks related to data use, balancing security and privacy with the benefits of data sharing. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to deliver tailored recommendations and influence outcomes. Represent Defence at forums and briefings, advocating for data priorities to technical and non‑technical audiences. Analyse complex problems using professional judgment and initiative, identifying alternative solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement. Anticipate change, set priorities, monitor progress and deliver corporate outcomes within the data function. About our Team The Event to Outcome (EtO) Value Chain Directorate provides advice to the Associate Secretary and Defence leadership on governance, policy, data assurance, reporting, benefits and business support for the Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Case Management Solution (DECMS). The Directorate works with the ERP Program, Business Operations Centre, ERP sustainment organisation, business process owners, data owners and analytics users to effectively govern DECMS. The EtO Value Chain is one of 12 identified Value Chains that describe the capability being provided by the Defence ERP solution. Each Value Chain is a grouping of business processes integrated to achieve end‑to‑end enterprise effects and provides the framework for how Defence will do business using ERP.
