About the role Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional; to be UAT Officer for the Program, with the primary aim of providing support to Program Test Manager and the Program leadership team in the coordination and management of Acceptance Testing activities. This role will report to the Program Test Manager in the Branch’s Delivery Assurance and Build Quality (DABQ) Section and will work across the program and wider business teams to help ensure that ICT solutions deployed to production are demonstrably fit for purpose and achieve coverage of business requirements and acceptance criteria. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in ICT enabled business change programs in a client facing role such as business analyst, project administrator, training coordinator, communications specialist, or similar. This role would suit a candidate who is looking to build their skills and experience towards a career in project management, ICT testing or business change management. Key responsibilities Working within a small enterprise testing team, the UAT Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Assisting the Test Manager, enterprise testing team and business teams with development of Acceptance Testing plans, monitoring of test execution and preparation of status reporting; Supporting business teams and technology teams as the DABQ point of contact for Acceptance Testing preparation and execution; Coordinating test execution and defect triage activities, and liaising with program stakeholders on defect resolution activities; and Preparing DABQ input for, and participating in, Agile delivery standups and other ceremonies. Highly desirable criteria One or more years of experience working within a large and complex digital transformation project in either government or large commercial enterprise context. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology. Ability to manage competing project priorities and to build productive working relationships with stakeholders from multiple teams. Proficiency in the use of M365 Office applications, and exposure to one or more project work management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps or MTM. Desirable criteria Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as ICT, business, public administration. Exposure to and knowledge of ICT project delivery or business operations models and associated procedures in government. Experience in working with ICT vendors and systems integrators in a government program delivery environment.
