Experienced Quantity Surveyor - Darwin / FIFO Opportunities Huge opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction consultancy / advisory firm with a strong track record delivering major projects across Australia. Location: Darwin-based ideal, as you will be working on N.T. projects; however, we are open to candidates from across Australia, as FIFO arrangements are also available. Salary is negotiable and above market, to secure someone who brings value to the team. About the Role: This person will be a key anchor for the team, helping to continue its growth and success. The ideal candidate is autonomous, enthusiastic, and proactive, someone who isn't fazed by new challenges, ideally can interpret drawings and documentation, and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. Recent projects include landmark infrastructure projects in Darwin, libraries, healthcare centres, and corrections facilities. This role would suit someone from a consultancy or contracting background who thrives on new challenges. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate cost advice, pricing estimates, and cost plans. Prepare and review project cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows. Complete detailed trade and elemental take-offs. Measure quantities for variations and price BOQs. Conduct site visits and evaluate completed work for valuations. Prepare and assess payment claims. Assist in achieving commercial goals while managing project risks. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Skills & Experience: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Engineering, or related field. Experience in QS roles, open to candidates from civil, infrastructure, or commercial backgrounds. Strong understanding of drawings, documentation, and commercial project delivery. Proactive, accountable, and able to thrive in dynamic project environments. Proficiency in industry software such as MS Office, Buildsoft, CostX. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
