Fire Prevention Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Fire Prevention Officer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in supporting emergency management and fire prevention activities to ensure community safety and compliance with relevant legislation. You will provide high-quality customer service, conduct inspections, and assist with the administration of fire prevention programs and emergency management initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Conduct fire prevention inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of fire prevention and emergency management programs. Maintain accurate records and databases relating to fire prevention activities. Provide advice and assistance to residents, businesses, and internal departments on fire safety matters. Support the coordination of emergency management initiatives and preparedness activities. Promote a positive and professional image through effective communication and customer service. Key Requirements: Knowledge of Emergency Management and Fire Prevention principles and practices. Demonstrated experience (minimum 1 year) in Fire Prevention Inspections . Completion of a Fire Prevention Officers Course or similar related qualification. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Current Driver’s Licence .
