The Role We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team for an exciting engagement with one of our key clients. You will be responsible for developing and optimising data pipelines and transformation models within the Microsoft Fabric and dbt, enabling enterprise‑scale analytics and self‑service data capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric. Develop and manage dbt transformation workflows, ensuring modular, version‑controlled, and well‑tested models. Collaborate on the design of data models to support analytics, reporting, and data governance initiatives. Work closely with data architects and analysts to deliver reliable, production‑grade data assets. Perform data validation, testing, and documentation to ensure high data quality and transparency. Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement within the data engineering community. Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role). Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric and dbt (transformation, orchestration, testing, and documentation). Solid understanding of data modelling, ELT/ETL design, and modern data architecture principles. Experience with Snowflake or Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Delta Lake, etc.). Proficiency in SQL. Experience in the healthcare sector is a strong plus. Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
