Join to apply for the Pricing Assurance Data Analyst role at Auto & General Australia Brief Description Support the Pricing team to ensure accurate insurance pricing systems and assist the business with premium-related enquiries The role The Pricing Assurance Data Analyst will support the Pricing team and company to ensure the accurate and robust operation of our insurance pricing systems, as well as support the business in addressing premium-related enquiries. This role would be well suited to an existing A&G staff member looking to expand their skills and career to a more analytical focus. Position Accountabilities Understand how pricing works across various products, channels and systems Understand the various sources of pricing data, their common uses and any limitations Identify reasons for changes in premium and communicate these appropriately to internal stakeholders (e.g. Service, Claims, Underwriting, CDR, Compliance) Perform analysis, such as manipulating and summarising large data sets Maintain the pricing assurance function, using appropriate tools and data to deliver solutions that are timely and robust Interrogate A&G’s live pricing systems to ensure the premiums we offer are correct and accurate, escalating systemic issues as appropriate Accurately recalculate customer premiums based on new or updated information Assess the impact of compliance breaches as they relate to insurance pricing. Quantify the impact of compliance breaches related to pricing, including calculating customer remediation amounts Adhere to all pricing policies and procedures Qualifications and Experience A tertiary qualification in statistics, mathematics or a related equivalent quantitative field Strong analytical skill and attention to detail Programming experience in SQL and Python Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) Effective communication skills for interacting with various internal stakeholders Able to work both independently and collaborative within a team Location Toowong Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
