Position Details Music Teacher – Permanent full‑time position – Commence Term 1. The role involves delivering an engaging and comprehensive curriculum from Years 5 to 12, inspiring students in music theory, history, composition, and performance. Responsibilities As a member of the Performing Arts Faculty, you will deliver high‑impact teaching, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a vibrant learning community. You will support student development through creative exploration and critical reflection, fostering a positive learning environment. Selection Criteria A working understanding of, and commitment to, the Catholic ethos of a school in the Edmund Rice tradition. Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice. Qualified to teach Music (Stage 3 to Stage 6) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW. Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner, with evidence of effective classroom management and proactive behaviour strategies. Demonstrated success in curriculum differentiation. Demonstrated proficiency on your instrument of choice. Effective incorporation of ICT into teaching, learning, and assessment. Ability and/or willingness to teach VET Entertainment or another subject. Experience working on school productions.
