This is a Monday to Friday role, 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM (25 hours per week) offering a great work‑life balance with no late nights or weekend shifts. If you love cooking, have strong baking skills and want to make a real difference in the lives of older Australians, we’d love to hear from you You will: Prepare and cook nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences. Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with food safety and hygiene standards. Plan menus in consultation with staff, considering special diets and cultural requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage food storage effectively. Minimize food waste and adhere to portion control guidelines. Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure meal times run smoothly. Bake a variety of goods, including desserts, muffins, cakes, and pastries. Comply with aged care regulations and participate in audits when required. Plan, order and prepare meals in a way that will enhance the customers’ dining experience, in line with all specialised diets, including supplements and texture‑modified foods. Ensure a high level of compliance with all food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures. About you: You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, enhancing their self‑esteem and empowering them to make choices. This is the place for you if you: Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Have experience in a commercial kitchen environment preferably Aged Care. Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture‑modified foods. Friendly and respectful, show integrity and initiative, work at a fast pace.
