Italian‑Speaking Visitor – Gardening and Racing Enthusiast, Community Volunteer Bring connection and conversation to a fellow Italian speaker. We’re looking for a friendly Italian‑speaking volunteer to spend some time with a gentleman who enjoys gardening and watching the horse races. A weekday visit for a chat over a cup of coffee, to talk about the garden, racing, or life in general, would mean a great deal to him. If you enjoy good conversation, connection, and sharing a common language, this is a wonderful way to make a positive difference in someone’s week. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. Role Details Category : Seniors & Aged Care Commitment : Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work : Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required : One‑hour visits between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm; we will work with you to find a suitable time. Training : Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator. We offer an extensive online and face‑to‑face training program so you will be well equipped as a volunteer. Optional – First Aid course.
