Italian-Speaking Visitor - Gardening and Racing Enthusiast. Community Volunteer Bring connection and conversation to a fellow Italian speaker. We're looking for a friendly Italian-speaking volunteer to spend time with a gentleman who enjoys gardening and watching the horse races. A weekday visit for a chat over a cup of coffee, to talk about the garden, racing, or life in general, would mean a great deal to him. If you enjoy good conversation, connection, and sharing a common language, this is a wonderful way to make a positive difference in someone's week. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Category – Seniors & Aged Care Commitment – Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work – Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required – One hour visits between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, we will work with you to find a suitable time. Training – Training is provided as well as ongoing support by a local Volunteer Coordinator.
