Position Overview We are seeking an Italian speaking Volunteer who would like to be a companion to an elderly Italian person in residential care in Armadale under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme. The volunteer would visit the client with the aim of reducing social isolation and improving the client's quality of life, confidence and self-worth. Visits may include conversations or simple games or activities within the home, depending on the clients' interests and wishes. Visits always take place in the client's place of residence. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support Time Required A minimum of 20 visits within a 12 month period. Monday - Friday (once a fortnight) to be negotiated between client and volunteer depending on volunteers' availability. Training On Line and Face to Face training will be offered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
