The Opportunity As our Finance Controller, you’ll take the helm of our financial strategy, driving decisions that fuel profitable growth across eCom Capital and our portfolio brands. You’ll bring a sharp commercial mindset, an eye for scalable systems, and a passion for operational excellence. This is not a back‑office, heads‑down accounting role. Instead, you’ll operate as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Operations Manager — assessing the health of our businesses, shaping pricing and margin strategies, maximizing marketing ROI, and steering capital allocation. Our environment is dynamic, entrepreneurial, and scaling rapidly. With eCom Capital and our brands targeting 50–100% year‑over‑year growth, you’ll be instrumental in guiding us through the next level of scale by installing robust financial frameworks, enabling data‑driven decisions, and driving the business toward even higher profitability. You’ll also have the mandate to review and optimize our existing finance operations, hire an AR/AP clerk to own day‑to‑day transactions, and build the scalable systems and team we need to sustain aggressive growth. What You’ll Do Partner with leadership to build rolling 90‑day forecasts, annual budgets, and financial models aligned to growth initiatives across our consulting and eCommerce businesses. Analyze pricing, unit economics, product margins, inventory efficiency, and marketing spend to optimize both gross and net profit. Evaluate supplier terms, warehousing, logistics, and other operational levers to drive better cash conversion cycles and capital efficiency. Install World‑Class Systems & Processes Assess current finance operations, identify gaps, and implement streamlined processes, tech solutions, and reporting tools that support rapid scale. Build and lead budget discipline across all departments, keeping teams accountable to quarterly and annual targets. Deliver actionable weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial dashboards that give the leadership team clear visibility into the business. Provide deep insights on variances, performance vs. forecast, cash flow scenarios, and emerging trends — helping guide decisions in a fast‑moving environment. Build & Mentor Your Team Hire and oversee an AR/AP clerk (or similar finance support roles) to handle day‑to‑day transaction processing, freeing you to focus on strategic finance priorities. Foster a culture of accountability, commercial focus, and continuous improvement in the finance function. What You’ll Bring 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role, with a proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and building the operational backbone for companies growing at 50–100% year‑over‑year (or similar high‑growth environments). Deep experience steering finance for eCommerce, digital brands, or consumer businesses, especially supporting rapid scale‑ups where financial clarity, agile decision‑making, and capital efficiency were critical to success. Background in an advisory, analytical, or commercial finance role (top‑tier accounting firm experience a plus). Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, pricing strategy, and business intelligence tools that enable confident decision‑making in fast‑paced, ever‑evolving markets. A pragmatic, direct “tell it like it is” communication style, with the ability to hold teams accountable and influence cross‑functional leaders.
