About the Role An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join our vibrant School community in Term 1, 2026. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term (1 year) role. In this key role, reporting to the Head of English, the successful candidate will inspire students' love for English through engaging, analytical, and inquiry‑based lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deep appreciation of literature and language. To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Current VIT Registration. Previous experience teaching English across Years 7 - 12. Experience teaching junior Humanities is highly desirable. A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on English. Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture. Well‑developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes. An active supporter of and contributor to a collegial work environment. Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning. Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times. Why work for us?
