Job Description The key role is to serve as a Trainer and Assessor in VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses. The position is full‑time, sessional. Responsibilities include planning and preparing course materials, conducting practical and theoretical assessments, providing feedback to students, maintaining accurate records, facilitating a positive learning environment and ensuring training aligns with course requirements. Responsibilities Provide engaging and effective instruction based on curriculum requirements and maintain high teaching standards. Record student attendance and progress accurately, following College policies and procedures. Monitor classroom learning outcomes, provide feedback, and support students’ educational development. Stay current with industry standards, keep qualifications up to date and actively participate in professional development. Adhere to the Code of Conduct, report incidents, manage OH&S matters and contribute to meetings and other relevant activities. Qualifications Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Bachelor’s degree in a civil/construction field (minimum qualification). Minimum two years’ experience in the civil construction industry. Understanding and supportive of students’ diverse needs and learning paces. Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of VET. Proficient in learning management systems (Moodle) and Microsoft Office applications. Possession of or willingness to obtain a WWCC.
