Job Description A Trainer and Assessor in VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses is responsible for planning and preparing course materials, conducting practical and theoretical assessments, providing feedback to students, and maintaining accurate records. The Trainer and Assessor also support students' learning, facilitate a positive learning environment, and ensure that the training aligns with the requirements of the course. Deliver High-Quality Training : Provide engaging and effective instruction based on curriculum requirements and ensure high standards of teaching. Maintain Accurate Records : Record student attendance and progress accurately, following College policies and procedures. Ensure Effective Learning : Monitor classroom learning outcomes, provide feedback, and support students’ educational development. Professional Development : Stay current with industry standards and maintain up-to-date qualifications, actively participating in professional development opportunities. Compliance and Reporting : Adhere to the Code of Conduct, report incidents, manage OH&S matters, and contribute to meetings and other relevant activities. Qualifications Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Bachelor in the civil/construction field as a minimum qualification 2 years experience in the civil construction industry Understanding and supportive of students’ diverse needs and learning paces Experience working with international students in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training Proficient in the use of learning management systems (Moodle) and Microsoft Office applications Possession of or willingness to obtain a WWCC Additional Information Now is the perfect time to join Acknowledge Education.
