Career Opportunities at Merewether Golf Club Positions Available: Apprentice Greenkeeper & Golf Course Groundsman Merewether Golf Club, one of Newcastle’s most respected and centrally located golf clubs, is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Course Maintenance Team. These roles present an excellent opportunity to build a career in turf management within a professional and supportive environment. Apprentice Greenkeeper (Full-Time) This full-time position is ideal for individuals looking to establish a career in horticulture and turf management. The successful candidate will undertake formal training through TAFE while gaining practical experience on-site. Key Requirements: Genuine interest in horticulture and turf management Reliability and a strong work ethic Availability for early morning and weekend shifts Willingness to pursue formal qualifications Basic understanding of golf is advantageous What We Offer: Structured training and support for TAFE studies A collaborative and professional team environment Apprentice wages in accordance with industry standards This casual role offers approximately 25 hours per week and is suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the upkeep of a premier golf course.
