Environmental Services Coordinator page is loaded## Environmental Services Coordinatorlocations: Bunburytime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: December 17, 2025 (27 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR-14109**Your role at St John of God** **Bunbury Hospital**We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Environmental Services Coordinator (Cleaning and Waste Management) to lead and supervise the Environmental Service team.Your role will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleaning and waste management in the hospital, as well as resolving operational issues in a timely manner and escalating unresolved issues.The role is offered on a Permanent Part-Time basis.**The Position:*** Lead and provide daily management for the Environmental Services team and physical resources, including direct leadership during peak periods.* Periodically review, re-evaluate and revise caregiver tasks, procedures and duty statements to meet the needs of the services as well as coordinating performance reviews and coaching for Environmental Services caregivers to ensure their knowledge, skill and attitude are aligned with the goals of the service and the Mission.* Manage operational service equipment and personal issue equipment (e.g. uniforms and PPE), including regular checks, audits and resolving of issues.* Create and maintain a harmonious relationship with Clinical Managers and caregivers to promote an efficient communication process to immediately address cleaning requirements or concerns.* Assist with management of external contractors that provides the following: Sharps and Sanitary Disposal & Management* Prepare rosters and maintain leave liability and productivity hours to ensure efficiency and cost effective resources within budget.* Run training sessions, in-services, meetings, tool-boxes and ensure online training is completed on time to keep all Environmental Services caregivers informed, well trained and ready for their duties.* Ensure that any agency staff and contractors are suitability trained, inducted and supervised for their duties.* Monitor compliance and ensure all Environmental services procedures and processes adhere to SJGMPPH standards, policies and statutory requirements.* Ensure that Environmental Services keep accurate records and ensure the integrity and completeness of the Environmental Services database and electronic filing.To thrive in the role, you will have previous operational and leadership experience within environmental operations, possess strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and have the ability to independently manage a multi-disciplinary team.You will have a significant knowledge of cleaning and infection control standards in health care with well-developed computer skills and working knowledge of a range of MS Office software packages and systems.Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.**We can offer you*** Salary: $85,508 to $87,204 per annum (pro-rata), plus 12% superannuation* Permanent part-time position working 37.5 hours per week* Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as: + Novated leasing + work related expenses + self-education and + additional superannuation* A healthy work-life balance through flexible work options, additional purchased leave & well-being programs* Employee discount on St John of God Hospital & Medical Services and Private Health Insurance* Employee support through our dedicated free Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Innovative Professional Development opportunities* A welcoming and supportive culture* On-site free parking* Employee discount on St John of God Hospital & Medical Services and Private Health InsuranceFor enquiries contact Ian Henderson, Manager, Hotel Services, on or email **Position may be filled before closing date if a suitable candidate is identified***Please note: If suitable candidates are identified, shortlisting and interviews may begin before the advertisement closes.**At St John of God Health Care, we celebrate diversity and warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.**Our commitment is to create a safe and nurturing environment for all children and vulnerable individuals in our care and proactively take steps to protect them from abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being.**Our inclusive culture fosters an environment that is respectful and secure, welcoming and accessible, and unified through our diverse community.*At St John of God Health Care we support you to be the best health care professional or support worker you can be.
