About the teamOur CFO Advisory service line is well established and uniquely positioned within the market. We provide a hands-on delivery that focuses on the uplifting and transformation of our clients’ financial management, accounting and finance governance practices and functions.We work with Board’s, CEO’s, CFO’s and various organisations, providing advice and support for their business. Whilst no two days are the same, they may include the establishment of a new entity’s finance function; implementation or improvement of accounting systems, processes and procedures; assistance with financial, management or project reporting and ongoing financial governance requirements.CFO Advisory team members often work as part of our client’s team, and this provides a unique opportunity to leverage your skills and experience gained from working within public practice.Current OpportunityDue to the continued success and growth of the CFO Advisory team, we are currently seeking a Senior Accountant from a public accounting practice background to join the team. CFO Advisory is a key team within the Advisory division.Your responsibilities include:Assisting the CFO Advisory team with finance function advisory services and transformation projects including process improvement, finance/ERP system selection and improvement, finance team structure reviews and financial governance;Preparation and/or development of financial, management and project reporting (including general purpose financial statements);Establishment of a new entity’s finance and corporate functions;From time to time, acting in an insourced role as part of a client’s team.What you’ll need to succeedHave an inquisitive mind and a desire to work collaboratively within the team and across other teams within the firm;Want to make a difference and add value for our clients;Ability to create bespoke solutions using sound frameworks;Have a tertiary qualification in accounting;Demonstrable experience in business services, audit (or similar) in public practice;CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion;Knowledge of the finance function including systems and processes.What we will offer youBDO offers professional development, collaborative culture, workplace flexibility, global career growth opportunities and an industry-competitive salary package.We are committed to building your technical, advisory, leadership, and management skills, and balance work with promoting health, wellbeing, workplace giving and social activities.
