Altitude is seeking a Senior Engineer - Network & Infrastructure Performance, to join a trusted provider delivering reliable broadband across rural, regional and remote Australia. Join a fast-growing ISP where you will lead performance and reliability across NBN and Opticomm networks, driving capacity planning, optimisation, and network innovation. Key Responsibilities Operate and optimise access across NBN POIs and Opticomm hubs, including CVC sizing and VLAN handoff Engineer and manage BNG platforms (Cisco, Juniper, or Linux-BNG) for PPPoE/IPoE, DHCP, and RADIUS Design resilient Layer 2 segmentation with VLAN, QinQ, LACP, and MLAG on Cumulus Linux Build and maintain in-house Linux network services and automation using Ansible and Git Monitor, analyse, and optimise performance with advanced telemetry, observability, and packet analysis tools. Key Requirements Extensive experience in ISP access/aggregation operations Expertise in large-scale Layer 2 networks and Cumulus Linux environments Hands‑on experience with BNG operations, subscriber QoS, and policy enforcement Proficiency in Linux networking, automation (Ansible, scripting), and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Graylog) Strong troubleshooting, technical leadership, and ability to mentor teams.
