Full- Time Cook Wanted - The Corner Cafe The Corner Café is a busy, community‑focused café located in Forest, ACT. We are known for our freshly prepared meals, excellent coffee, and friendly service. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team and support the day‑to‑day food preparation and service. Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with the café’s menu and daily operations. Ensure all food is cooked and presented to a high standard and served on time. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of a kitchen, including all equipment and work areas. Monitor and manage stock levels, assist with daily ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Follow and uphold food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards at all times. Work closely with front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Assist and develop menu items and daily specials as required. Requirements Certificate III in commercial Cookery or equivalent experience. Proven experience working as a cook in a café, restaurant or takeaway environment. Good understanding of food handling and preparation standards. Strong organisational and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast‑pace kitchen.
