Beaver Process Equipment is an Australian engineered product business that manufactures high‑performance slurry piping, hoses, and valves for mineral process plants and pipelines. We are looking for a manufacturing leader to transform our Brisbane plant. The Role This is a full‑site leadership role that combines operational control, technical problem‑solving, strategic improvement, and people leadership. Site leadership – full ownership of all site‑level activities. Production – drive daily discipline across safety, quality, production, and cost. Pre‑production engineering – improve design‑for‑manufacture and streamline workflows. Capital projects – deliver a program that doubles the plant’s capacity over three years. Manufacturing engineering – develop processes, upgrade equipment, improve layout, and bring processes in‑house for maximum control. Continuous improvement – train the team and build a site‑wide improvement culture. Team – recruit, develop, and empower high‑performing managers and teams. Responsibilities Lead a build‑to‑order production system using configure‑to‑order and engineer‑to‑order workflows in a hybrid job shop environment. Execute a pipeline of improvement projects, including new facility upgrades, commissioning new equipment, quality upgrades, new tooling design, and transfer of a new product line. Report to the executive leader responsible for all operations. Who You Are We’re looking for a hands‑on, disciplined manufacturing leader who takes full ownership, drives standards, and brings structure and accountability to every part of the plant. Step‑Up Candidate – early‑ to mid‑career leader ready to take charge of a full site. Seasoned Plant Leader – has end‑to‑end experience and wants to build the operation they desire. Experience Discrete manufacturing background (not continuous or batch). Manufacturing a company’s own engineered product range (ideal). Customised‑to‑order or built‑to‑order manufacturing (ideal). Character Traits Problem‑solver – inquisitive, analytical, always seeking improvement. Calm under pressure – steady, focused, clear‑headed.
