About the Role ARI is seeking a Payroll Clerk with experience in processing weekly and fortnightly payrolls. In this role, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end payroll process, handling timesheets, processing pay runs, and assisting with payroll reconciliations, while ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in line with statutory requirements. As part of a small finance team, you will also support the smooth running of the department, with opportunities to gain broader experience by assisting with Accounts Payable, basic accounting tasks, and general administration. Key Responsibilities Verify timesheets, allowances, overtime, penalty rates, and work hours. Process weekly and fortnightly payroll and reports accurately and on schedule. Interpret awards and industrial instruments relevant to ARI Group (e.g., Manufacturing, Clerical). Calculate and process leave entitlements (annual, personal, RDOs, LSL, etc.). Maintain payroll system data integrity (new hires, terminations, updates, pay changes). Process PAYG, superannuation, and CSA deductions. Manage Coinvest/Portable LSL reporting and contributions (where applicable). Prepare and lodge payroll tax (monthly/annually, if required). Ensure compliance with legislation, Fair Work requirements, and internal policies. Complete payroll reconciliations (wages, PAYG, super, accruals). Handle payroll queries and guide supervisors on timesheets, leave forms, and payroll procedures. Assist with data entry, general finance tasks and office support including phone management and ordering supplies. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree or relevant post‑secondary education (preferred). 2+ years’ experience in end‑to‑end payroll processing. Strong understanding of payroll systems and processes. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Proven ability to prepare, manage, and review payroll cycles.
