The Opportunity We’re looking for a Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead one of our operating companies into its next chapter of growth, innovation, and technical transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with Banyan’s Product and Technology leadership, this is a key role that combines big-picture vision with hands on execution. You’ll set the direction for how the platform evolves modernising its foundations while unlocking new possibilities powered by data and AI. You’ll shape how we build products that matter whilst designing scalable, secure systems, inspiring high performing teams, and delivering experiences that help customers grow and thrive. What You’ll Do Lead the Product & Technology vision – define and deliver a strategy that modernizes .NET, Angular, and Salesforce-based applications while advancing data, security, and AI capabilities aligned to commercial goals and Banyan’s long-term direction. Own the roadmap – bring clarity to what we build and why. Translate customer needs and business objectives into clear priorities, measurable outcomes, and meaningful product impact. Shape the architecture – set the vision for a scalable, cloud-native, and secure platform. Guide the evolution of the enterprise architecture to support innovation and growth. Drive AI and data-led innovation – turn rich data assets into insights and predictive capabilities that improve customer experiences and strengthen recurring revenue. Build and empower exceptional teams – recruit, mentor, and grow Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Data teams across Australia and Banyan’s Chennai hub, fostering a culture of trust, curiosity, and accountability. Champion delivery excellence – embed modern engineering practices, automation, and process maturity across development, testing, and release management. Ensure security and resilience – uphold strong governance and compliance, driving best practices in cybersecurity, SIEM, and business continuity planning. Partner across the business – collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment between the roadmap and commercial priorities, and communicate progress with clarity to the Board and Banyan Group. What You’ll Bring Extensive experience in a progressive product and technology leadership role (CPTO, CTO, CPO, or equivalent) ideally in SaaS or enterprise environments. A strong record of modernizing and scaling complex platforms with deep experience in Salesforce ecosystems. Expertise in enterprise architecture, .NET/Angular modernization, and cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS). A solid foundation in data security, compliance, and privacy frameworks such as ISO 27001 and the Australian Privacy Act. Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML and analytics-driven product innovation. Experience leading globally distributed teams and building cultures that balance excellence with empathy. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills – you bring people along with clarity and purpose. Bonus Points Experience building or evolving data-driven products in the automotive, finance, or retention-tech sectors. Hands‑on knowledge of API‑first architectures, data warehousing, or AI/ML pipelines. Familiarity with generative AI, conversational UX, or predictive analytics. Proven success identifying new product‑led revenue opportunities or pricing models.
