Job Description Unique FACEM opportunity: a six month fixed-term part-time (28.5hrs per week) Deputy Director Emergency role, based in Geelong. You will provide outstanding clinical leadership to the Emergency Department Medical and Nursing teams and report to the Director of Emergency. Responsibilities Champion the very highest quality of healthcare and patient safety, consistent with the Epworth Values and Behaviours. Manage the resources of the ED to ensure optimal effectiveness and efficiency and continue service improvement. Build productive relationships with internal (especially the Epworth Geelong ED) and external stakeholders and partners, nationally and internationally. Qualifications Strong clinical knowledge with highly developed skills in Emergency Medicine. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. Experience as a team leader with strong people skills and the ability to build and sustain effective and efficient teams. A commitment to the professional development of doctors and nursing staff within the ED. Logical and practical thinker skills, with a strong capacity for problem solving. A capacity to represent Epworth Geelong constructively and to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
