Baird & McGregor Lawyers is seeking a motivated Property Lawyer to join our team in Ballarat. This full‑time position offers an excellent opportunity for lawyers at any stage of their career — from newly admitted solicitors to experienced practitioners — to develop their skills and contribute to the success of a respected regional firm with offices in Ballarat and Daylesford. You’ll work on a diverse range of property matters, with the support of an experienced team. This role provides autonomy, client interaction, and the chance to build a rewarding career in property law. What you’ll be doing Advising clients on a broad spectrum of property‑related matters, including residential and commercial conveyancing, leasing, and property development. Drafting and reviewing contracts of sale, leases, and other property documentation. Liaising with clients, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions. Staying up‑to‑date with property law legislation. Delivering exceptional client service and building strong professional relationships. Managing multiple files efficiently and ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with other practice areas (e.g., Wills & Estates, Commercial Law) for matters involving cross‑disciplinary issues. What we’re looking for A Law degree and admission (or eligibility for admission) to practice in Victoria. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities. Ability to manage deadlines and work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with PEXA and property law processes.
