Base pay range A$110.00/hr - A$120.00/hr Term: 6 months * View to extent Location: Sydney Head Office. This role requires on-site presence. Day Rate: $800 - $900 + Super , dependent on experience and demonstrated capability. My client is Senior Product Designer to execute high-impact UX design for the client's significant retail digital offerings. This hands‑on contract role requires a focus on UX strategy, interaction design, and human-centred design . You will be responsible for end-to-end UX deliverables, primarily involving wireframing, prototyping, ideation, and user testing. Key Responsibilities Act as the 'voice of the customer,' ensuring design solutions are grounded in user insights and focused on key business optimisation metrics (e.g., lead conversion). Provide expert guidance to developers on UX/XD methodologies and best practices. Plan, facilitate, and lead collaborative workshops, including whiteboarding, sketching, and ideation sessions. Collaborate closely with design and product teams to create user-focused designs informed by market analysis and research. Develop prototypes at various fidelities and rapidly iterate based on robust stakeholder feedback and testing results. Required Skills and Experience Experience: 3-4 years in UX design, with a proven track record of end-to-end ownership, successful delivery, and strong design storytelling. Design Fundamentals: Strong background in crafting wireframes, information architecture, sitemaps, screen flows, and translating brand patterns into build-ready interfaces. Tools: Proficient in leading design and collaboration tools such as Miro, Figma, and testing platforms (e.g., Optimisely). Methodology: Direct experience working within an Agile (Scrum) team environment. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of user-centred design principles. Ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders. Communication: Proven ability to clearly articulate design decisions and communicate complex insights/recommendations to senior executives (C-level suite) in both written and verbal formats.
