Senior Product Designer

Overview We are looking for a seasoned Senior Product Designer to execute research, UX and UI design on Qantas Loyalty’s digital offerings. Product designers drive UX strategy and interaction design to create products that engage and inspire. We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of design thinking, human-centred design and research methods, who can help drive design and product strategy across an integral part of the loyalty business. Responsibilities Act as the voice of the customer within the team, ensuring research, design and insights underpin design solutions. Plan, conduct and lead whiteboarding, sketching and ideation workshops. Collaborate with program designers, product managers and technical teams to create user-focused designs informed by research, product strategy and technical capabilities. Prototype solutions at varying fidelities, iterate based on user and stakeholder feedback. Conduct user research through in-person, focus groups, remote/unmoderated studies, surveys and customer validation. Create visual design assets and high-fidelity prototypes and mockups ready for development. Qualifications and experience 5+ years of design experience with a track record of ownership, problem-solving and delivering solutions with strong storytelling across discovery and delivery. Background in design strategy and driving design or product roadmaps and conversations. Beautiful design aesthetic focused on function, combining strong graphic design with usability. Experience crafting wireframes, information architecture, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of user-centred design principles. Strong working knowledge of design tools and frameworks: Figma, Miro, analytics, user testing platforms and A/B testing platforms. A strong portfolio across User Research, Prototyping, UX/UI Design and CRO. Experience in an agile team using scrum methodologies. Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and work autonomously with them. Attention to detail in deliverables and the ability to present design decisions to internal stakeholders, including C‑level, and articulate rationale clearly. Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior executives in written and verbal formats.
