Applications are invited for the position of: Wastewater Services Operator – Trainee The Shire of Moora is seeking a highly motivated full-time employee to join our Infrastructure Services Team. The successful candidate will be involved in the daily operations of maintaining the Shire Wastewater Scheme and will have the opportunity to participate in a nationally recognised training pathway to complete a Certificate II, III and IV in the water industry. Duties include: Operating and maintaining the Shire Wastewater Scheme. Working flexibly in dealing with a variety of manual handling tasks, with a vigilant focus on Workplace Health & Safety. Carrying out safe operation and maintenance of various plant. Maintaining work standards as a collaborative member of the Infrastructure Services team. Current C Class Drivers Licence. Willingness to participate in training and development programs. Safe operation and user maintenance of plant. Developed team and interpersonal skills. Availability for On-Call based rosters for weekday and weekend shifts. Basic computer skills. Previous experience or knowledge of Wastewater systems and relevant Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Demonstrated ability to read and understand operational plans.
