About the Role The JBS Pork Australia – Maintenance team is currently recruiting a Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team at Laverton, on a fulltime capacity, Monday to Friday with overtime available on Saturdays. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater systems, supporting site‑based environmental programs, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organisational requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: Operation and monitoring of the site wastewater system including pre‑screening areas, DAFs and decanters. Complete fault finding and troubleshooting of the wastewater system. Complete regular performance testing of equipment and chemicals. Maintain daily operation records. Managing odour control systems, storm water and solid wastes. Perform other duties as directed. About You Must have a valid forklift licence. Basic ability to use computer‑based monitoring/controls systems (i.e. SCADA). Strong communication skills, initiative, and attention to detail. Ability to function in an abattoir environment in a hands‑on role. Why work for JBS Australia?
