Full-Time | Hobart, TAS | MKH Contracting About Us MKH Contracting is a respected civil construction contractor based in Hobart, delivering high-quality earthworks, subdivisions, drainage, roadworks, and infrastructure projects across Tasmania. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and workmanship, we are growing and seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Role As an Estimator at MKH Contracting, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive pricing for a wide range of civil construction tenders and projects. Working closely with our management and project teams, you will ensure all estimates are well-structured, cost-effective, and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and tender documents Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works including earthworks, roads, drainage, and utilities Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and supporting documentation Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options Maintain and improve cost databases, pricing templates, and estimating systems About You Experience as an Estimator within civil construction (ideally 2–5+ years) Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and civil infrastructure Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and meet deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
