As a Bank Manager, you'll be the head and heart of a frontline banking team that loves to exceed the expectations of local customers, whilst playing a hands‑on role in a community you're proud to call your own. Inspiring a team of customer service, sales and business specialists, you’ll set the standard for the Westpac Group experience – and it'll be an exceptional experience at that You’ll be the driving force behind your branch’s success – holding financial, risk and operational accountability – ensuring customer advocacy is at the heart of all you and your team do. You will recruit, coach and elevate your team to deliver a superior banking experience, ultimately contributing to the branch's, and our customers’, success. This is a full-time, branch-based role and the hours are across and inclusive of Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as required. Our Mount Druitt branch is one of Westpac Group’s co‑located branches, where St George and Westpac banks come together in a single physical location, enabling them to work alongside each other to continue to invest in and support local communities. Co‑located branches are easily recognisable with both brands on display. How will I help? Hold accountability for compliance and risk management – build a culture of doing the right thing Take ownership of resolving customer concerns effectively and efficiently Drive customer acquisition , service and retention – building genuine connections with our customers and the community Lead and uplift frontline staff through training, mentoring and performance management Drive results that have a clear, positive and direct impact on overall branch performance – with responsibility for profit and loss What do I need? Strong leadership experience, ideally gained in a Retail Banking environment (preferred, not essential) Proven experience of holding accountability for risk and compliance , staff performance and customer experience High‑energy , with an ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team Experience of working to fulfil business performance targets and spur growth Ability to effectively de‑escalate and address challenging situations by using strong communication and problem‑solving skills Westpac and St George are part of the Westpac Group, and we’re committed to your success from day one.
