Associate to the Honourable Justice Forbes Supreme Court of Victoria – Full‑time, ongoing – $79,122 per annum + 12% superannuation (VPS Grade 3.1 position). Role based in the Melbourne CBD. The Honourable Justice Forbes, with extensive experience in personal injury, professional negligence, and common law matters, is seeking a legally qualified Associate to commence in early 2026. The position offers valuable experience in the Common Law and Criminal Divisions of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Responsibilities Assist with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing. Clerking in court. Review files and orders. Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the judge. Prepare research memoranda. Travel on circuit when required. Liaise with court staff, the public, the media, and the profession. Qualifications Qualified in Law. 1–2 years post‑admission experience desirable. Experience in criminal litigation and understanding of criminal procedure highly beneficial. Exceptional proofreading and writing skills, proficiency in grammar, and an excellent academic record.
