Infrastructure Team Leader We’re seeking an Infrastructure Team Leader to oversee and support our ICT infrastructure across both Corporate and Tolling environments. This pivotal role ensures the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our systems, while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions, executive‑level papers, reports, business cases on infrastructure performance, risks, and strategic initiatives. About the Role ConnectEast is the owner and operator of EastLink, Melbourne’s largest tollway network and one of the city’s busiest and safest motorways. What You’ll Be Doing (but not limited to) Lead infrastructure support across Corporate and Tolling environments, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. Manage vendor relationships including managed service providers, software suppliers, and interface partners to maintain service quality. Provide technical leadership in infrastructure design, architecture, and third‑level support for internal teams. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance infrastructure and application systems. Monitor and resolve system issues, coordinating with vendors on issues that arise, fixes, patches, and upgrades. Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust backup and emergency procedures. Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks, supporting compliance and reducing potential financial impacts. Prepare executive‑level papers, reports, business cases on infrastructure performance, risks, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have: Formal Education Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar. ITIL certification (e.g., Foundation or Practitioner). Experience 10+ years’ experience managing IT infrastructure teams. Strong technical expertise, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, Linux, Windows, and networking. Demonstrated experience preparing executive‑level papers, reports, business cases on infrastructure performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
