You’ll report to the Head of FP&A and be responsible for leading financial strategy across diverse portfolios, driving performance, governance, and transformation. Success means delivering actionable insights, enabling growth, and embedding commercial rigour – without direct reports, but by leveraging and collaborating with central teams and influencing peers. What You’ll Do Act as CFO for your portfolios, shaping investment priorities and driving commitment to operational excellence Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to optimise outcomes Provide scenario modelling and deep analysis to inform executive decisions Ensure robust investment frameworks and proactively manage financial risks Drive continuous improvement and support transformation initiatives Elevate financial literacy and influence decisions without formal authority Support major contracts, pricing strategies, and margin optimisation What You Bring CA/CPA (or equivalent) with extensive senior finance/commercial experience Proven ability to deliver accurate budgets, forecasts, and board‑level reporting Strong commercial acumen in pricing, margin analysis, and contract governance Exceptional stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority Advanced financial modelling and strategic analysis capability Current NSW Driver’s Licence Desirable: Experience in regulated industries How We Will Support You At WaterNSW, we balance flexibility with the needs of the business, our teams, and individuals.
