About Cadia Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. Who We’re Looking For We are seeking motivated and hardworking Production Loader Operators to join our team at Cadia. This role is responsible for the safe and productive operation of a loader, as well as additional tasks as required, (e.g. mine services work, secondary break charge up, automation bogging, roadway install). Key Deliverables Ensure all incidents, near misses and hazards are reported to the Shift Supervisor. Safe and efficient Production Loader operation. Specific tasks as directed by the Underground Shift Supervisor. Assisting to maintain efficient operation of the production level. Ideal Candidate As the ideal candidate, you will be a positive team player with excellent work ethics and a can-do attitude. You will appreciate being part of a collaborative team and foster continuous improvement through your excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Qualifications Proven track record in promoting and managing safety in the workplace. Experience in operating underground loaders and sound knowledge of underground Metalliferous mining. Willingness to take ownership of issues associated with your role.Results oriented with a commitment to delivering planned outcomes consistent with ‘Safe Production’. BUEL desirable. Manual C Class Driver's License is required. Please Note You will be required to work a 7 days on / 7 off / 7 nights on / 7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday – Wednesday).
