Opportunity currently exits for a qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the growing on-site Workshop Team at our Melbourne depot based at Braeside. You will be a qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel/Trailer Mechanic, or alternatively a Light Vehicle Mechanic with a passion for Trucks and desire to upskill in the field of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and Fleet Maintenance. Qualifications Trade Certificate as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel or Trailer Mechanic (or similar) OR Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to progress and further develop their craft in upskilling to Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Experience with BPW and Hendrickson axle/suspension systems Experience in working on European Vehicles: Volvo, Iveco and Scania HC licence preferred but not essential Forklift licence preferred but not essential Welding experience preferred but not essential Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to be flexible in adapting to change in fast paced work environment Selected shortlisted Applicants must undertake a Pre-employment medical, incl drug and alcohol screen. Responsibilities Servicing, repairs and diagnostic work of our fleet Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records Completing work to a high standard Work autonomously and unsupervised Follow company policies, procedures and safe work practices Weekly pay with competitive rates RDO’s and allowances Late model and new equipment A varied and flexible working experience, where each day is different and exciting from one day to the next.
