Corporate Accountant

What you'll be doing: Serve as a technical accounting specialist, staying updated on accounting standards.Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.Complete month-end and year-end tasks, including reconciliations and financial reporting.Oversee external reporting and compliance with various government and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate financial data, including procurement and asset registers.Support budget preparation, project finance, and collaborate with teams on business matters.Drive process improvements and contribute to enhancing internal controls.What we're looking for: At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally at a large corporate or big 4 accounting firm.Membership in a recognised professional accounting body (CA/CPA Australia or equivalent).Previous experience in preparing financial statements.Knowledge of current Australian accounting standards.Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate financial information.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.What we offer: Annual salary increases.Up to 40% of your time working from home.5 days of wellbeing leave in addition to 4 weeks of annual leave.A supportive, diverse team environment.A centrally located, modern office in Pirie Street.Stability in an organisation experiencing significant growth in lending volumes.About us HomeStart is a South Australian government organisation that's helping break down the barriers to home ownership.
