FUNCTION SUPERVISOR

Nerang RSL & Memorial Club Inc. is seeking a customer-focused Function Supervisor to support the delivery of exceptional events and functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring that members and guests receive attentive service and a seamless, high‑quality experience. About the Role The Function Supervisor assists with coordinating all aspects of function operations, ensuring each function is delivered to a high standard of professionalism and hospitality. With a strong focus on Member satisfaction and guest engagement, the role supports the Function team to create welcoming, well‑organised, and memorable experiences that reflect the standards of the Club at the heart of the Nerang community . Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and delivery of functions and events with a strong focus on Member and guest satisfaction Support the supervision of functions and event setup, service flow, guest engagement, and pack‑down Provide on‑the‑floor leadership to ensure friendly, attentive, and professional service Respond promptly and professionally to Member and guest enquiries or concerns Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements Maintain function spaces to a high standard of presentation, safety, and cleanliness Ensure all service, compliance, and safety requirements are met throughout event operations Support the training and guidance of Function staff to uphold customer service expectations This is a hands‑on operational role, not office‑based. You'll spend minimal time at a desk and will be focused on the operational aspects of functions and events on the floor, directly engaging with the team and guests. Requirements Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a venue of a similar size Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to take initiative, work independently, and support team members during peak periods High level of organisation and attention to detail Certificate IV in Hospitality (Preferred) Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate Must be available days, nights, weekends and public holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
