Job posting end date: 10/24/2025 Metso is looking for an Apprentice Caster & Moulder to join their team in Ballina, New South Wales. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Perform specific engineering measurements as required in the Foundry. Responsible for the preparation of sand moulds for the casting process. Liaise with Patternmakers and Metallurgist about casting designs. Be responsible by following instructions under a professionally structured training programme. Use a range of tools, equipment and machinery in the production process of creating cores, moulds and subsequent metal castings. Prepare and mix sand for moulds and cores production. Learn and become an expert in the calibration of moulding sand mixers. Identify casting defects and learn how to eliminate them. TO SUCCEED You enjoy teamwork and can work well with a small team of employees. Able to participate in team problem solving and knowledge management. Help build a strong culture of continuous improvement. Be part of a team environment with an open communication culture. You will be based in Australia already, and this role is located in Ballina, NSW.
