About you and this position Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play a practical and hands‑on role in maintaining and improving parks, gardens, ovals and green spaces across the City. Working as part of a reliable and supportive team, you will help deliver quality maintenance and presentation of these areas, ensuring they remain safe, attractive and well‑prepared for community use. You will apply your practical skills on a daily basis, assist with the planning and coordination of tasks, and support the Acting Manager City Operations in the maintenance of Council’s green assets. Responsibilities Maintain and improve parks, gardens, ovals and green spaces. Assist in planning and coordinating horticultural tasks. Support the Acting Manager City Operations with maintenance of Council’s green assets. Qualifications & Experience Certificate III in Horticulture, Turf Management, Conservation and Land Management or extensive experience. Current and valid Class MR Driver’s Licence (minimum). Experience in the safe operation of horticultural machinery, plant, equipment, and hand/power tools. Experience in horticultural maintenance, including mowing, planting, irrigation, weed control or turf care. Basic computer and mobile device skills to assist with work management systems and record keeping. Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and procedures relevant to horticultural operations. To find out more about this position please review a copy of the job description.
